My first Thanksgiving

In 1991, I celebrated my first thanksgiving in Laytonville, CA. My two sons, my then husband and I were invited to celebrate that beautiful holiday with our new friends. We enjoyed delicious food and had a great time.

Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday because families gather to enjoy a large meal and celebrate their blessings like health, shelter, unity and wealth.

Every thanksgiving I am reminded of my first one in 1991 because I had such a wonderful experience in my new American culture.
