My favorite belongings

by Olga Seredenko, College of Marin, California

My favorite belongings are books. I love to read books for my pleasure when I have spare time. I like to read books about historical events that occurred many centuries ago. If the content of the book is interesting, the book can be many times better than the most wonderful film. Everyone has his own imagination and fantasy, which allows him to see the events in his mind.
When I read a book, I'm in another world. This world is called my imagination. I can see the plot of a book in a form in which only I can see it. This process is like seeing a movie and it is a better than a movie.
A book helps you learn the language. When you read the text, then you remember repeating words. A book helps to improve the quality of your  knowledge of grammar. A book shares with you information, and you can get this  information at any time. You just have to take a book in your hands, and you can see all your imagination as soon as you begin reading. I think that a book is the greatest human invention.
